The Greater Newark Tennis and Education Program introduced me to a sport that I had wanted to play since I was four or five years old. We live exactly one mile from the newly-renovated Althea Gibson Tennis Courts. I have made incredible improvements over the past three years with the help of Coach Bob and his team of coaches and mentors. They have taught me everything I know about tennis, including forehand and backhand, overhead serves, and more. Coach Bob has also introduced me to competitive tennis matches, which I really enjoy. I love the GNTE Program because I am able to meet new people and test my skills against others.
